Montessori Tower Safety+
A learning tower that lifts a child to kitchen-counter height safely and deliberately. The frame measures 43 cm wide, 90 cm tall, and 55 cm deep — narrow enough to sit beside a parent at the counter without blocking the walkway behind. The standing platform adjusts to three heights, tracking a child from the first wobbling attempts at chopping a banana at one year through the confident pancake-flipping of a five-year-old.
The defining detail is the safety plank: a horizontal bar across the back of the tower that locks in place once the child is on the platform, and lifts out of the way when they step in or out. A toddler cannot climb backwards off a tower that has a plank locked behind them, which is the specific failure mode learning towers are built to prevent.
Construction is solid birch, FSC-certified — a third-party audit of forest management that tracks the timber back to a specific stand. The base carries soft padding on the underside to protect kitchen floors and dampen the sound of a tower being dragged six inches closer to the hob.
Rated to 80 kg, so an adult can lean on it safely while helping a child reach across the counter. Available in three finishes — natural birch, white, and a muted sage — to match a kitchen rather than a nursery.
Recommended from twelve months to four or five years. Handmade in Lithuania by One Little Pine; 1–3 weeks lead time for each piece.
